Refund policy

We’re bummed things didn’t work out for you Girl! But here’s the good news : we give you 3 days in case you want to return the product. Return requests are accepted via an email sent to us on customercare@themerche.com . (Please note : We shall only be accepting Email Return Requests.) The order number can be found in the confirmation email or sms sent to you. After we receive you email, we will respond via email within 2 working days.

The products have to be unused with the tags intact. Any sign of usage (tears, scratch, stain, broken hardware or foul odour) will result in failure of quality check and rejection of the return. If the label has been removed we cannot accept the return.

Shipping fees are non-refundable.

A charge of Rs.150 is applicable for all returns. The amount shall be deducted from the product cost paid. 

We provide you with complete freedom to self-ship the product back to us, in which case no charge shall be deducted of the reverse pickup.

Pickups can only be done from the same address that the order was shipped to. We cannot change the pick-up address. In case of a change in address, the client will be requested to courier the product back to us. It should reach us within 7 calendar days from the date of the request made.

There are certain locations that Merche shall not be able to arrange reverse pickups for in such an instance the customer would have to ship it back to our warehouse. The following information shall be provided to the customer.

No refunds are made for any product in the store. Merche shall issue store credit for the amount paid (minus the shipping charge) upon receiving the product in unused and perfect condition.

ALL CREDIT CODES VALID FOR 1 MONTH FROM THE DATE IT WAS PROVIDED 

 For any returned product that does not pass our quality check due to stains, odour, broken hardware or any other damage, the return will not be accepted and the product will be shipped back to the client.

If any order received using credit code cannot be fulfilled by us, we will reissue the credit code back to the client, with the same expiry date as before. No refunds will be made for any order.

Kindly Note : A Garment that is worn and returned to Merche, we shall not be providing any credit note to the customer and shall not be providing the Garment back to the client. Incase the Client insists on Returning the Garment, a COD Fee of Rs.450 needs to cleared at delivery. Merche shall accept such deceitful behaviour. 

At Merche Store credit is applicable for all products including the ones already on sale. It is valid upto 1 month from the date of issue. If your code is below Rs.3000, it should be redeemed at once, it cannot be redeemed with 2 different orders. A credit code cannot be clubbed with any other running offers at Merche. Kindly make sure your cart value is equal to or greater than your credit value. The shipping fees are not included in your cart value. 

 Items sold in the 'Sale' Category, are considered final price and no returns or exchanges shall be accepted for the same. Sale category - are discounted price slashed products on the website. 

In the case of a defective product received by the client by Merche, a fresh piece shall be dispatched for the client when notified. Incase of unavailability a credit note of the amount shall be provided to the client. Incase the client insists on cancellation, a credit note of the amount shall be provided. Merche makes no refunds 

Note : No Returns or Exchanges are accepted for products bought using a discount code. The products are marked as final sale

At Merche we are super easy with our return policy and we hope to make it trouble-free for you.

If you do not find the product satisfying, you can return it as long as the following conditions are met :

  • It must be returned within 3 days of receiving your order
  • Items must be unworn and unwashed. You can wear it to check for fit and comfort, making sure that any smell does not transfer to the product. (Example : natural body odour, body deodorant, perfume etc.)
  • Shoes must be tried on indoors.
  • Items must have all price tags, brand tags, shoe box and all original packaging must be present
  • Any gifts received must be returned with the product

Returnable products at Merche are listed below :

Any apparel are all returnable products.

We do not accept returns for Innerwear : briefs, and panties, lingerie sets, socks and stockings, etc, Fashion jewellery, sunglasses, Bags. 

During Sales, the return policy may vary, to get the exact information, always refer to the Terms and conditions of the promotion running at that time. That said, we always strive to keep our policies as flexible and hassle-free as possible.

We at Merche request you not to return the product to our courier person incase you did not like the product as soon as it is received. We have a flexible policy where you can get a Return ID generated by giving us a call. To avoid any confusion or delays, our courier partners are instructed to not accept a package as a return while performing a package delivery.

There are some conditions where we shall fail to accept the return of your order they are listed below :

  • Incase the 3 days return period has lapsed, the product cannot be returned to us
  • If the product has been picked up, and it fails the quality check at our warehouse due to product usage, defect, missing tags or packaging, the return may be rejected. We will then ship the product back to you at no extra cost
  • We do not process a return for items that are classified as non-returnable.

Note : If you have received a non-returnable product in a damaged/defective condition, please reach out to our customer care team immediately to initiate a request of refund.

We strive to provide all pincodes in India for forward and reverse delivery. However, even if there are some pincodes that are not serviceable, you can still return the product by following the given steps :

  • Within the prescribed 3 days from the date of delivery, please ensure that Return ID is generated. We request you to self- ship this item.
  • Please send us the following items in a sealed bag :
    1. Product/s
    2. Brand Labels & Tags
    3. Price Tags/Shoe Box
    4. Return ID and Order ID written on a piece of paper
  • Please courier the item to our Returns Address 

It takes 7- 15 working days for the shipment to reach us. Once picked up from your address. ( In some cases it might take longer ) This is not in our control 

The pick-up is done by a third party courier company and it is an extra cost borne by us.

Please make sure you keep the parcel at ready.

The pick-up will attempted twice, if the courier company is unable to pick up the shipment. You will have to send the shipment back to the company address. 

Kindly note : The standard shipping charges and the Standard Return Charges are deducted from all Return Orders, even the ones that are above the RS.3000 and no initial shipping charges were paid by the client

Partial Cash on Delivery (COD) – Terms & Conditions


  1. Orders placed using Partial Cash on Delivery require an advance payment at the time of order confirmation. The remaining balance must be paid in cash at the time of delivery.
  2. Customers must accept and complete payment for the order at the time of delivery. Orders that are refused or cancelled before dispatch, not accepted, or undeliverable after dispatch will not be eligible for refunds.
  3. In the event that MERCHE is unable to fulfill an order due to stock unavailability or any operational reason, the customer will be informed and the paid amount will be issued as a credit note.
  4. Credit notes issued by MERCHE will be valid for 7 days from the date of issue and must be redeemed within this validity period.
  5. Incase the client wishes to cancel a Partial COD order before we dispatch, the amount shall be credited to the client as a credit note
  6. By placing an order using Partial Cash on Delivery, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
  7. Partial COD orders for all "EMBROIDERED" pieces cannot be refunded by Merche, if cancelled by the client

SPECIAL :  AS OF 8TH APRIL 2021, DUE TO NATIONWIDE RESTRICTIONS IN AREAS, WE WILL NOT BE PROCESSING  RETURN PICK-UPS FROM CERTAIN LOCATIONS, THE CLIENT WILL BE NOTIFIED IF SUCH IS THE CASE. FOR ALL SUCH RETURNS, CLIENTS WILL HAVE TO SHIP THE PRODUCT BACK TO OUR WAREHOUSE AFTER NOTIFYING US REGARDING THE RETURN OF THE PRODUCT.
